The difference in the Sleep Number p6 beds is the use of two large air chambers beneath a foam layer. These models encase the large air chambers with foam.
Which model offers motion-isolating pressure relief?
iSense Technology
The iSense Classic features premium foam. The foam throughout the mattress eliminates motion transfer from your body. Side sleepers, those with back pain and any sleepers can move with our Comfort Control™ Technology without disturbance.
Sleep Number Technology
The Sleep Number p6 bed-length air chambers can be quite disruptive, as air transfers motion more easily than foam. If your partner awakens in the night, it is more likely their movements will disturb your comfort.
What about cooling features?
The iSense Classic features open-cell foam. This foam moves heat away from the body and is built into the base price. You can add extra cooling layer to the mattress for an additional charge.
The Sleep Number p6 contains a layer of foam which passively absorbs heat and redistributes it to the mattress. But any active cooling components must be added into the mattress for an extra fee.
