You simply can’t replace a good night’s sleep. There are countless negative side effects to a lack of rest, including impaired memory, irritability, weakened immune system, and more.

You don’t have to be an insomniac to experience sleep deprivation either. You may be sleeping every night, but are you sleeping well?

One of the biggest factors that influences sleep quality is your level of comfort in bed. If you find yourself tossing and turning, having trouble getting comfortable, and finding it difficult to fall asleep as a result, it may be time to upgrade your bed and get a new mattress.

Sleep Number offers various mattresses and smart beds with unique features and benefits. You can choose from Classic to Memory Foam to 360 Smart bed series that fits your needs for restful sleep.

Sleep Number mattresses also come in different sizes. They have Queen, King, California King, Full, and Twin XL-size mattresses.

Do You Need a King-Size Bed?

King-size beds are the cream of the crop in the world of beds. If you're a taller person or share a bed, a king-size bed might be the right choice for you.

Sleep Number beds do come in king-size. If you're looking for a perfectly large, adjustable air mattress with a proven track record of providing comfort and quality sleep to people all over the world, you might consider purchasing one.

Sleep Number mattresses come in various mattress sizes and require a firm, flat, and stable base. It could be a platform base, an adjustable base, or another base with slats.

As is true with many of their other models, the king-size Sleep Number mattress comes with two separate air chambers. This means that you and your sleeping partner can enjoy the extra space of the king, along with the added comfort of your own Sleep Number adjustable air chamber. These two air chambers have responsive air technology that monitors your body movements and automatically adjusts its firmness to support your body.

To top things off, you can even purchase a split king-size bed, so you both can adjust the elevation setting and firmness level of your side of the bed to your own specific liking.

Sleep Number smart beds have a remote control that you can use to adjust the Sleep Number setting. However, they highly recommend using their mobile app. This application uses Sleep IQ Technology to monitor your body, like body movements, sleep times, and breathing rates, and record your desired Sleep Number bed settings.

Difference Between King Size and California King

Not all king-size beds are the same. If you’ve heard the terms, “King Size,” and, “California King,” you may not even know that there’s a difference. Luckily, we’re here to help so you can be prepared when the time comes.

A king-size bed isn’t actually the largest sized bed that you can purchase. While there are likely custom-sized beds even larger, the other biggest standard-sized bed you’ll find in stores is the California King.

A king-size bed measures 76 inches (193 cm) wide, and 80 inches (203 cm) long, while a California king measures 72 inches (183 cm) wide, and 84 inches (213 cm) long.

You may notice that the king-size bed still has more surface area, but the California king is longer. This makes the California king a better option for taller people, and the king size a better option for those who prefer more space to their sides.

King Size

A king-size mattress is best for individuals or couples who feel that a queen-size bed doesn’t provide enough room. If you move around a lot during sleep, share a bed with multiple people, or are overweight, you may feel that a queen-size bed simply isn’t enough.

King-size mattresses are the widest option available, so you’ll have room enough for more than two people if necessary. They’re standard sized and widely available, so you won’t have problems finding sheets and bedding to use.

On top of this, because of their standard size, king-size beds will fit in almost any room.

The downside, however, is that it may be too short for you, which is where the California king comes into play.

California King

California king mattresses are the longest option available, making them great for tall people and people who enjoy the company of pets at the foot of their bed.

Unfortunately, California kings are more difficult to find, harder to find bedding for, and more difficult getting into some rooms.

If a king-size Sleep Number bed doesn’t feel right for you, or if you are looking for a smart bed check out isense. They combine adjustable air, memory foam, and inner-spring technology, and come in multiple mattress sizes, including King, California King and many more.
